Employment and education

June 2011 – present  and August 2009 – December 2009
Scientist, Danish Meteorological Institute, Denmark

I work with modeling of the North Atlantic and Arctic oceans, to simulate ocean and ice conditions and study climate changes and oil drift. We are presently working on a coupled ocean–sea ice–atmosphere model. Other interest areas include coastal satellite altimetry (measuring sea level and storm surges from space) and climate-related sea level changes around Denmark.

Maternity leave August 2012 – June 2013

January 2010 – May 2011
Scientist at the National Environmental Research Institute, Aarhus University, Denmark

Main working area: Regional physical and biochemical ocean modeling in the North Sea and the Baltic Sea.

Project leader for the EU FP7 projects ECOOP and MyOcean, parameter responsible for hydrography, member of BOOS and HIROMB steering committees.

Maternity leave June 2010 – March 2011

May 2006 – July 2009
PhD in oceanography and climate change
